The Total Water Filtration System (TWFS) scale prevention water system combines the long lasting and reliable filtration of salt-free water conditioning with KDF-55 water filtration. There is no electricity needed, no backwashing or water waste. The patented scale prevention media removes up to 20 grains of hardness with no chemicals or salt. The catalytic surfaceof the scale prevention media pulls the calcium and magnesium ions from the water and coverts these ions into harmless nano crystal particles. These nano crystals are so small that they are approximately one billionth of a meter; 100,000 times smaller than a single strand of hair.
In the second phase of the filtration process, theexisting scale in the piping and hardware isremoved. The nano crystal particles are neutraland are unable to attach to any surfaces, butdue to their large surface area and nanostructure, bind to the calcium ions in the scale,gradually breaking the grid structure of thecalcium deposits. Over time, the calcium scaledeposits within the pipes and equipment arecompletely removed. This results in highly effective scale prevention and removal with minimal maintenance.

The system also utilizes pre & post filters for maximum water filtration. The 20" Big Blue prefilter is a radial flow GAC filter that removes sediment, large particulates, chlorine, chloramines, and other chemicals, tastes, and odors.
