The Hydronix 10" Big Blue Sediment Filter is the same 10 micron filter as the Liquatec SDF-45-1010 Big Blue Filter. This water filter, also known as part number SDC-45-1010 utilizes 4 separate layers of micron filtration, as the outside-in flow allows the outer layer to trap larger sized particles, which results in a much lower pressure drop compared to conventional filters. Constructed with 100% polypropylene, this Hydronix Sediment Filter is resistant to chemicals and reduces waterborne contaminants like silt, sediment, sand and rust. This multi-stage sediment depth filter is binder free, surfactant free and adhesive free.Tested and certified by NSF International under ANSI/NSF Standard 42 for material requirements only, this water filter is ideal for a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial and food service applications. The Hydronix 10" Big Blue Filter contains graded density that provides higher dirt holding capacity than standard spun polypropylene and string wound cartridges. The coreless design of this Hydronix 4 1/2x10 Big Blue Sediment Filter is a cost-effective solution to pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems and post-filtration for granular activated carbon filters (also known as GAC filters).Do not use this Big Blue Sediment Filter with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. This sediment filter cartridge fits filter housings requiring 10" Big Blue media. The operating temperature range for this Hydronix water filter cartridge is 40 degrees to 145 degrees Fahrenheit (4.4 to 62.8 degrees Celsius).
